New Look website

We have decided to revamp the website over the winter with a few crucial changes. Firstly, we will no longer be an e-commerce website with an automatic shopping cart and purchase system. This is mainly because it is a major pain to keep going and requires more time  than we can devote to it with the limited  time and staff we have. Further to this it simply doesnt suit the kind of business we are, in that we tend to purchase, in the main, once a year and try to get new unique items for the shop, many of which are limited in number and unrepeatable and so dont lend themselves to the arduous task of listing them for sale online as once they are gone they are gone. This combined with staffing factors and time constraints coupled with the increasing cost of posting what are mainly very heavy items means we have taken the decision to close down this aspect of the website.

We are however happy to take distance orders the old fashioned way over the phone or by email and will do our best to make this process as painless and as cost effective as possible should you will to order something from our shop. Please note easiest payment terms for us are Paypal and card over the phone in that order.

One thing that we are aiming to do with the new website is update photos of our new incoming stock on a regular basis , using Instagram among other things. No need to head to Instagram though as we have various feeds to the different fossil, crystal, and various product pages within our site, so you can keep an eye on whats new.

Another thing we are hoping to do is provide visitors to Weymouth with some useful information that might be of interest, such as fossil related events, fossil walks and tours, and some more generalised information that might be of interest to new and seasoned visitors to our resort, such as inside knowledge of hidden gems and places to visit, our recommendations for places to eat and drink and anything else we can think of that might be of interest.
