Otodus Shark tooth on matrix. Otodus sharks were a type of mackerel shark that lived during the Paleocene and Eocene epochs, approximately 60 to 45 million years ago. It is estimated they grew up to 9 metres in length. Known for their large teeth fossils some of the largest Otodus teeth found have been over 10 cm / 4 inches. This Otodus shark tooth is the larger size we stock.

Sizing informatiom: Base rock Approximately 9cm square, actuall tooth 3.5 -5 cm long.
